I have a ton of old AOL CDs?

I've been teased as hoarder for not polluting. I always thought I could write over and reuse them. Don't want to recycle into a craft. I can figure that out. Is there a simple way, for novice as me to get passed the write protect. AOL should have a key, but just try to contact them. They should be in trouble for all the waste. They should have to take back and recycle. Anyway I digress. How do I do this?
