How did Justin bieber get on B.E.T?

I'm not trying to be racial or hate on his music,his music is ok, but doesnt he make pop music??I thought B.E.T promoted like soul music, rap,&r&b, which explains robin thicke appearing on the station&eminem& many others, like I know you don't have to be black to be on B.E.T, but I'm just confused on Justin Bieber..does he not make pop???
